Operations Director
Norrie has been involved in the industry for 30 years, starting as a yardman he worked in different roles including administration, sales and management before joining the company 25 years ago. He is highly experienced in all aspects of the scaffolding industry and holds the following qualifications
• Nebosh National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety (with credit)
• Diploma Construction Health & Safety Management Royal Society of Health
• Scaffold Inspection Certificate
• CSCS Gold Card (Site Supervisor)
DONNA TAYLOR
Office/Accounts Manager
Donna joined the company with over 30 years office experience, 26 of those working within an accounts environment – she has vast experience within the construction industry.
She is responsible for the smooth running of our office, dealing with the company’s financial matters, carrying out all accounts procedures, credit control and payroll.
Probably Donna’s most important role here at IAS is to keep all the men who work around her in order – not an easy task…
FRED REILLY
Contract Supervisor
Fred has been with the company from its early days, starting as a trainee scaffolder, some 34 years ago.
He has progressed through the levels to advanced scaffolder and then moved into supervision. He has a wide knowledge of all types of scaffolding and has supervised all sizes of contracts from small domestic work to large scale industrial projects.
A true scaffolding specialist, Fred holds the following qualifications:
• Advanced Scaffolder Card
• Advanced Scaffolding Inspection
• Site Supervisor SMTS Certificate
• CISRS Scaffold Supervisor Card
• IPAF Powered Access Licence
• Confined Spaces Entry Certificate
PAUL DOCHERTY
Contract Supervisor
Paul has been with IAS for over 12 years, joining as a Part 1 Trainee Scaffolder and then progressing to Advanced Scaffolder. Paul quickly became one of our most experienced scaffolding speciaists who is trusted to work with top tier clients, delivering projects to a high standard.
He has recently branched into supervision where he utilises his experience of a wide range of scaffolding applications and liasising with clients to ensure their programmes and requirements are met.
Paul holds the following qualifications:

• Advanced Scaffolding Inspection
• CISRS Scaffold Supervisor Card

SCOTT DAMMER
Estimator
Scott has worked in the scaffolding trade for 20 years after first earning a degree in Quantity Surveying before moving on to focus on scaffold estimating. Scott is experienced in all aspects of scaffolding having worked as both estimator and supervisor on a variety of both small and large scale projects using tube and fitting and also a variety of system scaffolds
Scott’s Qualifications:

SEAN LAWSON
Office Administrator
Sean has worked with IAS for five years having previously worked in the access business for a further ten years where he worked as a Hire Desk Controller and then Transport Co-Ordinator, gaining him fifteen years experience in the access trade. Sean works alongside Donna as part of the administration team where his main duties include maintaining company records and monitoring stock control.
DAVE ANDERSON, MSc, CEng, MICE
Engineering Director
Dave is our Senior Engineer who holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and has worked in the construction industry for over eighteen years. Dave has experience in providing multiple complex temporary works design packages, working with some of the UK’s top Construction Firms to find solutions to suit their needs. Dave became a charter Engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers in 2022.
The safety aspects of all designs produced by the IAS Engineering Department is further enhanced by Dave holding a NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
GARY MCCOMBIE, BEng (Hons), GMICE
Graduate Engineer
Gary joined the company as a labourer in 2014 before working his way up to become our youngest Advanced Scaffolder at the age of 26.
Gary decided to opt for a career change and recently graduated from Dundee University where he studied Civil Engineering part-time, whilst working alongside the IAS Engineering Department to produce the detailed design drawings and assist the supervisors with the scaffold inspections and handovers.
